1. Surgical Plan
Only the bone parts are excerpted in the CT image and is showed in 3D which makes the preoperative bone state of patients making accurate pre-planning possible.
The Faster and more accurate upgraded TPLAN has improved the visibility of the 3D image which now makes hip joint Acetabular cup surgery possible.
SMG (Surface Model Generation) is the technology which recomposes CT images of a patient with the bone surface only excluding other tissues before converting them into 3D images.
The doctor can develop personalized pre-planning and virtual surgery as well as a more delicate diagnosis through the 3D images as if looking into the affected area directly.
2. Personalized Surgery
It is possible to select the personalized artificial joint and insert it virtually to see if it is the best size for the patient.
Through TPLAN the doctor can consider each patient’s bone condition, implant size insert area and milling area of the damage bone beforehand.
Moreover, since it provides the view of the front, side and cross-section, more detailed, accurate and comprehensive pre-surgical planning is possible.
3. Virtual Surgery
Simulation before the actual surgery helps double-check the alignment, angle and shape of the leg axis which helps indicate whether the planning was accurate.
Virtual surgery is a process to fully check the pre-planning stage and find out the surgical result in advance to increase the completeness of surgery. The planned simulation helps review the surgical plan and predict the postoperative condition of the patient.

1. TCAT executes the plan in a faster, accurate and precise way to the actual patients.
TCAT takes over the pre-planning data the doctor planned and proceeds with the bone cutting process. Once it completes fixation of the patient’s leg and registration of the location, and finally the verification of the position, plan, and range of surgery, the robot precisely cuts the bone where the artificial joint will be inserted. Accordingly, it reduces unnecessary bone cutting and surgical errors decreasing side effects and potential resurgery.
2. The use of milling cutter reduces the impact applied to the bone and postoperative pains.
Because the surgical robot is designed to cut the bone in compliance with the plan made by the doctor, it provides not only the constant and accurate surgical result but also the precise surgery with the personalized plan.
Milling cutting reduces the impact applied to the patient’s bone resulting in the lower occurrence ratio of side effects such as fractures.
